Initial setup

        1. Click on spam police link.  http://spampolice.mewsbb.net
        2.  Type your email address in the E-Mail box (user id@mewsbb.net).
        3.  Leave the Password box blank.
        4.  A password will be e-mailed to you.  When you receive the password you can then log in and manage your e-mail account.

View Messages

Spam Police will show your spam messages in the Mail Jail by clicking the View link at the top left hand corner of the page.

        1.  You can select messages with checkmarks and then [Delete], [UnSpam] or [Add To Friends] by hitting the button.       
        2.  Options for each message:

- View (message) - Views the raw message in a safe way which does not show images or decode attachments. It also shows a report for each message which has been analyzed.

- UnSpam (message) - Sends the message to your InBox.

- Delete (message) - Deletes the message.

- Add To Friends - Adds the sender's address(es) to the Friends list.

Configure Spam Police

Configure will let you set your own personal settings for detecting and eliminating spam. You set the point threshold for marking e-mail as spam, and you set how long spam is kept around. Note: The only reason to keep spam at all is to make sure a valuable message wasn't caught as spam and deleted. Click the Configure link at the top left hand corner of the page.

        1.  Account:  Set your personal Account settings here. If you want to change your spam threshold, go to 'Score'.

Score and store non-spam messages - will keep all your messages. By checking this option, you can get a report for messages that didn't meet the spam threshold. This is very useful for fine tuning your settings.

Change your password by entering your old password, and then enter new password you would like to use twice. You enter it twice just to make sure that you know what it is, and so that a check can be made that you've typed it correctly. Then click the Change Password button.
       

Master Settings is managed by Mayfield Electric & Water Systems.

User Settings is managed by you, the user. Type the e-mail address you want to add to the friends list in the Friend's e-mail box and click Add.  You can also use * at the beginning or end as a wildcard.
